The Department of Planning Services is a team of professional, technical and administrative staff that is dedicated to helping Steamboat Springs achieve the community's vision for the future. The staff seeks to improve the quality of the built environment, protect scenic and environmentally sensitive areas, ensure provisions for needed public facilities, assist community members in understanding the principles of community development, and improve the community's quality of life.
